How to open doors

Your own door uses a lock, a chain, and a peephole. Other doors need a key or a tool that footage actually shows.

On your apartment door, F locks or unlocks, R uses the peephole, and T puts the chain on or takes it off. With the chain set, the door opens only a crack. Look, listen, unchain, unlock, then open.

The home plate in a clear frame reads 3004. A subtitle places Daniel at 303 next door, which one wiki writes as 3003. I keep both wordings and do not pick a single plate for him.

An apartment key shows up in a key dish during a Russian-language run and opens that apartment. A screwdriver takes the four screws off a vent cover so you can crawl through. The Locksmith pass also starts you with a screwdriver and nine bobby pins.

A wrench is for bolted vent covers and pipe fixtures. One player says they need a wrench for a particular cover, and a tips video puts 'find wrench' in the title. A bolt cutter cuts chains and padlocks. Two videos and a written guide name it.

Arthur says the roof key is on the bench. The camera does not show the pickup. A triangular key is mentioned for an out-of-service elevator panel. After the power cut, the elevator is useless anyway, so stairs and vents are the routes people actually walk.

Locksmith is a class pass, not a free tool. The public description says lockpicking is more forgiving and that you start with the screwdriver and pins. I have no footage of the lockpicking screen, so I am not adding success rates.
